She-Hulk: Attorney at Law has had a smaller impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe than other Disney+ series, but that is starting to change. The MCU has had a curious relationship with real magic. Wanda's magic wasn't acknowledged as magic at all until WandaVision, and Dr. Strange's abilities always seemed more scientific rather than mystical. As frustrating to Wong as Donny Blaze is, he has opened the path to much more magic in the MCU. Magic has been reserved for the select few capable of wielding it responsibly. If Wong and Kamar-Taj are expelling people, then that means there are a lot of amateur magicians who can cause more havoc. More magical havoc means new and cool abilities that established magicians may not use.

In the comics, the concept of different realms is very prevalent. While the Thor films have looked at this a little, the MCU has mostly focused on different dimensions. Donny Blaze opened portals to different realms, with one realm possibly being hell, the home of Mephisto. This is another new magical tactic in the MCU. The portal rings have always been used to travel within the same area, but opening up new realms can let the MCU expand and bring in more strange and mysterious stories and characters. While it may be a small change, each evolution of magic gives filmmakers one more element to weave into new stories.

In Kathmandu in Nepal, Wong is settling down to watch some television. A portal suddenly opens above him and out falls Madisynn, who is holding a heart in her hand. She had apparently been assaulted by some goblins. She tells Wong that a \"cut-rate magician\" sent her to a different dimension, and a talking goat helped her to escape a lava pit in exchange for six drops of her blood. Knowing that Donny Blaze is responsible for this, he swears to correct the situation.

In court, the judge asks for witnesses. Despite Wong's pleading, he ultimately relents. He opens a portal to get Madisynn King into the room. Still in \"party mode\", she stumbles through the room, greets \"Wongers\" and hands her cocktail to the bailiff. Madisynn claims that she was sent to a fire world by Blaze and met a talking goat named Jake, who sent her through a portal to Wong. Walters claims it was a mistake. Willow claims she cannot copyright magic. Walters counters citing that he practices fake magic, whereas the Mystic Arts represents \"real magic\". Blaze's team then show their \"real\" magic with easy tricks. Wong stands up and argues that the world would be in danger. Blaze then uses a smoke bomb, much to the judge's disgust before she tells Blaze he could still practice magic. Wong claims he could send Blaze to the Mirror Dimension before leaving.

The appearance of Donny Blaze in Episode 4 of \"She-Hulk\" brings an answer to a question no one was asking. But it doesn't mean it's an unnecessary question. What happens to those Karma-Taj residents who don't quite make the cut Are they adopted out to loving families like german shepherds who fail their police training No. They live on their own with questionable entourages and put on C-level magic shows. But these people are very real and live among the everyday citizen.

As sorcery and witchcraft gradually become more commonplace throughout the MCU, the simpler stunts like pulling a rabbit out of a hat and sawing assistants harmlessly in half are becoming a dying art. Amateur magician and expelled Kamar-Taj student Donny Blaze (Rhys Coiro) finds this out for himself as his last-ditch effort to engage his audience through the use of a Sling Ring lands him in legal trouble with Wong (Benedict Wong). Easter eggs and pop culture abound throughout as the episode explores what constitutes real magic.

\"This case travels beyond these courtroom walls. The men you see are seeking to wield the power of gods. And that places us on the edge of a precipice,\" warns Wong, protector of this realm as Sorcerer Supreme. \"One man in the mortal realm has the ability to cause a ripple so great, it reverberates through every dimension. And that ripple through galaxies has the ability to destroy all life within the known and unknown universe. Case closed!\"

Tip may have shown her hand too quickly, though. For her to have brought up magic to West may put her in a precarious position sooner rather than later. West has to be wondering why this girl is talking about magic.

Kerene, the most level-headed among them, wants to shepherd Logain back to the White Tower so a trial can be held to determine if he's the real deal. But Liandrin (Kate Fleetwood) has a point when she asks if the power it takes to pacify him can sustain itself across those hundreds of miles. Her solution \"Gentle\" him now. Gentling, we're told, is the process by which an Aes Sedai defangs a channeler by severing them from the One Power. (As we later learn, this not-so-gentle act can give way to suicide, as those who know the touch of the One Power can't live without it.)

Danger has also arrived for the Aes Sedai. Logain's army, thousands strong, has arrived at the camp to liberate who they believe to be the Dragon Reborn. As the Aes Sedai and their warders square off against the soldiers outside, Moraine confronts Logain, who has melted the bars of his cage. \"Why should I believe you\" she asks. His answer, that he hears the voices of the thousand Dragons that came before him, takes us back to the beginning of the episode. There, as he decided what to do with the king he conquered, his magic manifested in an array of distrusting voices, ones that warned him of betrayals. \"They're teaching me how to do better this time,\" he tells Moraine.

But that's all Moraine needs to hear. \"Those are the whispers of madness,\" she tells him, deriding his powers, strong as they are, as a mere \"trickle\" of the ones the real Dragon Reborn will possess. Joined by Liandrin and Kerene, Moraine works to bind him again. She succeeds, but not before Logain can fire off a final spear of magic. Kerene, sensing the attack, sacrifices herself to save Moraine and Liandrin. With Logain restrained, she dies.

People are asking how real is Netflix's Magic For Humans in terms of how the tricks are performed and legitimate reactions from ordinary people on the show. The show has faced accusations of using a green screen and paid actors to create a convincing performance for viewers on the other side of the screen. They have maintained that great timing, rehearsals for the illusions, and a dedication to studying the human brain have been all the smoke and mirrors the show needs. We don't recommend trying this at home, folks, even if the Carolina Reaper is much hotter.

To the onlooker, this line of inquiry seems a little silly to accuse a film magician of having done tricks to further Justin's illusion. Stage magic, by nature, requires a suspension of disbelief; the audience knows that they are viewing a magic trick. People can float with technology but they can't fly via sheer force of will. The joy comes from not knowing how it's done, and even if you do know the trick, some of the feats are death-defying. People have died trying to recreate the escapes and tricks of those like Harry Houdini or David Copperfield, and sometimes it's the luck of the draw that they avoid sharp nails.

With Netflix, viewers are not seeing the trick done at a magicians' camp or in a club but rather filmed ahead of time, yet the viewer knows this is another trick. A magician, like the ones on Magic for Humans, needs to find different ways to find their audience in the age of television on-demand as it diminished interest in stunts and sleight-of-hand.
