In the first week of its release, the movie had over�30million viewers, with HT Media News saying 39% of the prime time audience in Mumbai and Delhi watched the film. The movie received a poor response in Gujarat, and also other metros like Nagpur. Mumbai was ranked as the top city in terms of movie attendance, after Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kolkata. The box office gross was Rs.383million, making it the third highest blockbuster of 2011[16] after Golmaal 3 and Endhiran.
