In a crowded marketplace of film and TV, people are starved for unabashed and unfiltered emotions which is exactly what director Ram Gopal Varma has given us in the simplistic story of two inseparable friends Armaan and Sanam (Harsh Vashisht, Pallavi Singh).
There was no special occasion that led to this. This was not planned. Acceptance and love was in their eyes but the world made sure it remained a small hollow. To start with, Armaan, a B.com graduate, returns to his native town of Wadala in Mumbai to fulfil his childhood wish of pushing his friend Sanam, daughter of a wealthy businessman, off a cliff.
Once an heir to a large, family owned business of printing presses, but now penniless and cursed by the reckless, evil deeds he did when in another life, Armaan returns to his childhood friend to confess his love for Sanam. The trial run of his first love, reveals that he is not cut out for the solitary, simple existence in a small town. Thus, he convinces himself that he can only be a part of this world if he becomes a rich man. He visits Sanam`s house and both set their eyes on the most haughty of men of the house – a handsome son of Anton, Sanam`s father.
What happens on one stormy night is enough to break the bonds of the compact Armaan had made with Anton for his life. Sanam`s no-nonsense father, his greedy mother and Sanam`s disciplined-but-loving sister make sure he knows who he is and who he has leave to be.
New beginnings bring new possibilities which Armaan embraces and begins to earn money. He connects with rich industrialist Acharya Shivaji who, on hearing of Armaan`s past, offers to help him turn his life around. d2c66b5586
